Dr. Norman D Knowles

Dr. Knowles was born in Fort Hood, Texas and grew up in Tampa, Florida. He moved to Tallahassee after his parents took jobs there. While in Tallahassee, he attended high school at Alfred B. Maclay, a college preparatory school. After graduation, he attended Florida State University and transferred to the University of Florida in his junior year where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1986. He then attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree in 1990. In 1991, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (A.E.G.D.) Residency Program and then worked as a Clinical Instructor in the Community Dentistry department of the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
He and his wife, Alejandra, moved to Miami in 1992 where he practiced for seven years before moving to Fort Pierce, Florida. While in Miami, he was an Assistant Professor in the Miami Dade Community College Dental Hygiene Program. In 2002, …he purchased the dental practice where he currently practices from Dr. Richard Bancroft who subsequently retired. Emilio, his son, attends John Carroll High School, and his daughter, Adriana, attends St. Anastasia Catholic School.
Dr. Knowles remains active in the Fort Pierce community where he enjoys family activities such Wakeboarding, ATV riding, and Shooting Sporting Clays. He also enjoys playing bass guitar with local musicians and is currently a member of the
5-4s. He is always striving to find better ways to produce better dentistry for his patients in the most relaxed, comfortable manner possible using the most modern, up to date materials available.
