Meet Dr. Doray
Over the last 25 years, Dr. Doray has established a reputation as one of the leading cosmetic and reconstructive dentists in the Philadelphia area. In 2010 she was selected by her peers for recognition in Philadelphia Magazine as a "Top Cosmetic Dentist."
Since 1984 Dr. Doray has maintained a private practice devoted to comprehensive reconstructive, cosmetic and implant dentistry in center city Philadelphia. Her practice is known for excellent personalized patient service, a commitment to the highest quality of treatment, and state-of-the-art technology. Dr. Doray was one of the first dentists in the Philadelphia region to place bonded porcelain restorations and to implement networked digital radiography, cosmetic imaging capabilities, laser whitening procedures and digital scanning for porcelain restorations.
Dr. Doray graduated first in her class from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine. Prior to dental school, she graduated summa cum laude from …Bucknell University, majoring in Mathematics. She also received her MSEd degree in Measurement, Evaluation and Techniques of Experimental Research from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Doray has always been actively involved in teaching, research and consulting on various aspects of cosmetic dentistry allowing her to offer the best state-of-the-art care to her patients. In 2008, Dr. Doray was awarded the prestigious Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry. Fellowship is awarded to only a small percentage of dentists in the nation. Fellowship in the AGD is one of the most recognizable designations within the dental profession. As a recipient of this award, Dr. Doray has joined an elite group in the dental community who understand that great smiles and good oral health are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements.
Dr. Doray is also proud to be an Accreditation Candidate with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. AACD Accreditation serves as the Gold Standard for Excellence in Cosmetic Dentistry. There are only 5 AACD Accredited dentist in the state of Pennsylvania and less than 270 nationwide. Dr. Doray is the only dentist in Philadelphia to have attained this level of recognition. Since graduating in 1984 Dr. Doray has been on the faculty at the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She has also been on the faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston since 1994.
In addition to her university faculty appointments, Dr. Doray is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). She also serves on the Council for Innovative Dentistry for 3M-ESPE Company and is a mentor and speaker for Biomet 3i Dental Implant Company. For ten years, Dr. Doray served as a consultant dentist for ESPE Dental-Medizin, Germany, where she was involved in development and evaluation of various dental cosmetic and restorative materials Dr. Doray has spoken to dentists nationally and internationally on cosmetic dentistry, dental materials and techniques, and occlusion. She has presented original research on color of cosmetic restorative dental materials at national and international conferences, and has many publications in this area of cosmetic dentistry. She is considered an expert in the area of fabrication of cosmetic temporary restorations to enhance the interim appearance of patients during cosmetic treatment. Dr. Doray has given lectures, been featured in videos, and published on this topic.
