Dr. Parmalier D Murphy

The Dentist was recommended to me by a family member. I have seen her a few times. She did not resolve my issue yet but she has been diligently trying to get to the bottom of it. However, my issue is more with the billing. The itemized bills are so confusing that you cannot understand the charges. I had to ask the woman at the desk to provide me an itemized bill on my last visit and not just a regular receipt, and she seemed offended. When I asked her to explain the charges, she could not do so. She got flustered, and told me the dentist would call me. This was not an answer to my concern. The dentist did not call me. I hope my concern was relayed to the dentist.

Great dentist. Been seeing her for the past 8+ years. Dr. Murphy is thoughtful of her patients and doesn't recommend unnecessary tests and procedures. Very reasonable in her approach as well as her fees and she's willing to work with you if you don't have insurance or appropriate coverage. She's awesome with working on kids and her staff makes you feel welcome. She's excellent with her hands, she's done some great work for me. I highly recommend Dr. Murphy and I don't give out good reviews lightly. I also think it's rare to find a great, trustworthy dentist like her. Her concern for the well-being of her patients is obvious. Highly recommend to anyone.

I went to this dentist because I was referred . I did the due diligence to call before hand to make sure they accepted my insurance. They assured me that they did. They never said they were an oon provider. This is where it gets deceiving. You can accept someone's insurance and not be contracted so they can charge you whatever they want. I went for a preventative cleaning. where I did not expect to pay for. Weeks later I get a bill in the mail. When I call to check on it they were very matter of fact that yes that is what you owe. You need to be upfront with the customer. I do not like financial surprises.
