After graduating with high honors from the University of Maryland Dental School, Dr. Winkelmann opened his first dental office in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he practiced for six years. He began practicing in North Carolina in 2008 after moving with his family from South Florida.
Along with his DDS degree, Dr. Winkelmann has earned bachelor and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from West Virginia University.
Dr. Winkelmann is a member of the Fellow of Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and the American Academy of Cosmetic …Dentists. He and his wife have one child.
Hillsborough Street Construction
Construction continues along Hillsborough Street. The Hillsborough Street Partnership has created a website to provide construction, traffic, and events updates concerning the construction activities. Before coming to our office for your dental procedure be sure to check if you might be affected.
Dr. Roberson’s Deployment
Dr. Roberson will be deploying to Iraq in June. His deployment runs from June through September. While Dr. Roberson is serving his country the dental office will remain open. An official announcement will be made in a few weeks announcing the dentist who will serve in Dr. Roberson’s place during the deployment period.

Patrick M. Roberson, DDS, PA’s office is now located in the Bernard House. The Bernard House, a Raleigh historic home, is at 1407 Hillsborough Street.
The Bernard House is in Cameron Park, one of Raleigh’s historic districts. The new office can be found between the YMCA and the IHOP along Hillsborough Street near NC State University and downtown Raleigh.
