VERY bad experience with this Dentist,,, will not stand behind anything he does,,, to me that is bad, just cares about money not the person ,

Love this dentist. Been going here for MANY years. The staff is like no other -- so friendly, kind and caring. Dr. Toms is knowledgeable, trustworthy, and so helpful with all my questions. Love this place - I always highly recommend them.

Very pleased with everything about the office! Can't say that I enjoy going to the dentist but, this was a pleasant experience.

My main review is because of the integrity of this office. I was new to the area, received a flyer and called. Asked them if they accepted insurance and if they accepted my personal carrier. Answers were yes. Then had my annual cleaning and was told I needed a crown. I have had 2 before and knew what my insurance coverage as well as my portion would cost. I was told the same amount as I had paid before so I made the appointment. Day of visit, I paid the patient portion. Each month I kept receiving a bill of $619.00. Each time I would call and they would re summit the bill. Once it was 90 days past due, I called again. I was told she could not understand why they had not paid the balance and asked me if I had received a explanation of benefits from my insurance carrier. I hung up the phone and called my insurance. I was told this dentist was an OUT OF NETWORK PROVIDER. I was shocked. All those phone calls and not once did they mention that he does not contract with any… insurance carriers. Her response was that he CHARGES the same for everyone. Really, like that is the answer your going with. I don't care if you double your rates, I care how much my portion is. I have a limited income and to add an extra $619.00 to my bill that could and SHOULD of been disclosed to me is beyond deception. Yes I learned a lesson: 1. Ask specifically if they are an in network provider. 2. Do not assume if they play christian music and have remind you of your sweet grandmother that they are being honest.
