Dr. Paul Frazier Horton

I went to Dr. Horton for a dental implant. I was in for an examination including x-rays. Not long before my procedure was scheduled, I received a phone call at work from Dr. Horton's staff. She asked me about a phone call that I received after my last appointment to review my visit. She asked me why I left a poor review. I replied that I did not leave a poor review and that I usually do not have time to participate in reviews and would have likely ignored the call. She told me that they have a service that makes calls after each visit and that the poor review was linked to my phone number. I explained that they have my work number and that it could have been any of a number of people linked to that number. Regardless, I had no complaints and did not leave a poor review. If I did, why would I want to return? I was told that she would talk to the dentist and call me back. Not even a week later, I received a letter in the mail from Dr. Horton stating that he would" no longer be able to… treat me in his practice". Nothing like this had every happened to me. I was disappointed. I had to start all over again with a new dentist. My dental insurance allows for one panoramic x-ray every 2 years and though Dr. Horton's office gave me a photocopy of my x-rays, no other dental practice would accept the copies. I had to pay for a panoramic x-ray out-of-pocket . I lost time and my procedure went into the following year. I also had to continue my costly dental insurance longer than I would have. Words cannot describe my disappointment. Looking back, I can say that maybe it was all for the best, because I do not want to patronize a business with such arbitrary practices. I did not leave a poor review, but fell that it is important to write one now, so that others know my experience that wasted both my time and money. I guess Dr. Horton gave me a good idea.
