Dr. Paul William Reed, DDS

Dr. Reed is a great dentist, but if you don't want to spend a small fortune don't get roped into this office. When asking questions, I got a different answer from every staff member and the Dr. was unwilling to own up to his staff's mistakes and miscommunications. I was forced to pay for their assumptions. Decent work but a horrible way to run a business. My braces also took much longer than quoted.

Once you (parents) decide not to have your child's jaw broken, Dr. Reed doesn't want to see you any longer. We just want a cosmetic fix, shouldn't that choice be ours. The office said it was because we didn't make all our payments, and even if we get caught up, they will no longer see our child. Our payments are fine, we never expect perfect, we just want better. He wants perfection, and that's fine, but not everyone is like that. He just doesn't want he name on anything that is less than perfect, and that is a SHAME. My child has cried enough at Dr Reed's. It is time to move on.

Let me start by saying this dentist is wonderful and did provide excellent and clear treatment for my son. My warning to future patients is in regards to expecting a clear understanding of payment responsiblily from the beginning. My son was referred for consultation by his dentist for possible need of dr reeds services. I asked specifically at his first appt. about wanting to pay and was told that there was no charge for this unless we decided to proceed with treatment basically the consultation process is free. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE AT ALL! We did decide not to to proceed with treatment and were billed 167.00 and our insurance was billed 177.00. When i spoke to there office in regards to this I was told I should have read the welcome letter when i set up the appt., appartently it is in there. They did not except any responsiblity for there initail statements too me, I guess sending mixed messages to patients is exceptable. Be careful of the fine print as they say.
