Dr. Paul K Zollinger, DDS

Over a year and 1 root canal, and 3 crowns later, I have to give up on this clinic. He is one of the most rude and unprofessional dentists I have met. He refuses to talk about pain meds, and I am only talking about OTCs, not prescriptions which he also does not prescribe. Went in for a puffy and infected gum to find out it was due to cement that was left under the gum line....from him a year ago. Doesn't tell me what he's going to do, just rams a plastic piece into that sore and swollen area to break the cement off...without any pain meds or numbing agents. Then after I was saying oww a few times, he acted like I was being a big baby and left without giving me any instructions on the infection. Two weeks later and I am having bleeding there still. Have to find a new doc. This is unreal.

Went in for a sore tooth and was told I needed a root canal! Agreed and Dr. Zollinger walk of saying he was going to have another dentist do this. I felt like walking out but was in a lot of pain. "Guest" Dentist proceeded to do a root canal, this lasted over 2 hours, he then said that I would need the tooth extracted because "suddenly" I now have a crack in my tooth. He insisted the tooth would come right out.... He tugged and pulled at my tooth for 45 minutes to the point that he was dripping sweat. I was in tears by the time this was over. It was excruciating and I was simply told you can go now. I asked for a prescription for pain medication and he stalled and looked for Dr. Zollinger and then said he had left?? This dentist apologized and told me that he was sorry but his license was in another state and HADNT followed him yet??? later that night I called the emergency number, assuming I would get a answering service and low and behold it was his office manager, I proceeded to… tell her I was in excruciating pain and she said ( over her screaming babies in the background ) "what do you want me to do" and then screamed at the top of her lungs and hung up on me. FASTFORWARD TO NEXT DAY, went to an oral surgeon the next morning and was asked what happened and that it was a terrible extraction and it was now Infected. BACKUP to the root canal, which I had just paid $180 of my copayment, after deciding that I needed an extraction and 2 hours of digging and scraping I was told I would need another $100 or so, can't remember being this was several years ago but with my mouth bleeding and crying I was sent down the strip mall to a nearby grocery store for more $$$$$$$ oh and then was sent a inflated bill want over $700 more from me! That was forgotten after I said I would report him for the dentist he had working there without proper licensing. If he couldn't write any type of prescription he should had never had a tool in my moufh and I would probably still have my tooth. When experiencing BAD customer service I always say I'm got to call/complaint but end up moving on but while looking for a dentist I came across his name and and of course recent negative reviews and my blood boiled all over again. I would tell this story all over again if I ever hear his name again! And office staff were just as bad! Dental assistants were caring and very compassionate and friendly and I feel sorry for them!

Dr. Zollinger is so gentle. I didn't even know he was giving me anesthetic. I had a root canal, build up and a crown and was completed in less than 2 hours. I loved my experience. The assistants talked to me and explained my treatment. I couldn't have been happier.

said he was going to remove old silver crown and clean under and replace, the tooth was not bothering me. He wrenched on crown for over two minutes and it finally snapped at gum line, leaving nerves exposed. Then he said, Oh now what you are out of insurance! I was in pain and tears. He ended up doing a emergency root canal on the tooth and now wants to charge me $3,000.00 to fix and crown the tooth! I said I thought he should fix the tooth for free seeing how he broke it, I was told they would think about it and have never heard back from them. The worst part of all this is I was there for a cleaning! My experience is they say one price then over charge you, their bookkeeping is a mess. Dr. Z. jumps all over your mouth and does not finish what he starts. very disappointed on the lack of care and listening to what you came in for.
