Dr. Penny S Flury

Penny S. Flury, D.D.S.,M.B.A.
Penny S. Flury, D.D.S.,M.B.A. is a general dentist who has been licensed to practice dentistry by the State of Michigan since 1989.  She received her bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in 1985.  She then went on to University of Detroit School of Dentistry and earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree.  After dental school, Penny obtained a Masters of Science in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Madonna University.
 Dr. Flury practiced in Dearborn and Birmingham for a year before purchasing her dental practice in Plymouth in 1990.  In 1989 she accepted a position as a pre-clinical dental school instructor at University of Detroit for three years.  Dr. Flury was offered an insurance internship in 1989 with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) that developed into becoming a Certified Dental Consultant.  Over a period of 13 years with BCBSM,  Dr. Flury had an opportunity to learn the dental insurance business …including claims review, administrative contracts, office reviews, post-treatment reviews and audits.
Dr. Flury is proud to combine her passion for art, science, and business and serve the Plymouth community.  She is one of Plymouth's biggest fans and has moved to Plymouth to serve not only as a local dentist but as a citizen of the community.
After work hours, Dr. Flury spends time with her two children, walking her dog (Bear), working in her yard, fishing in Frankfort, traveling to Ludington, shopping,  Girl Scouting, and spending time with her friends and family.

After receiving my undergraduate degree from the University of Detroit,  I  went on to the University of Detroit Dental School where I graduated in 1976.  For seven years I was an instructor at the Dental School.  I owned a private practice in Redford for 20 years.   Currently, I am a Dental Consultant with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and practice part time with Dr. Flury.  In 2010 I was listed as one of the top 100 Dentist in the Metropolitan area by Detroit Monthly magazine.
I am married with four children two boys and two girls,  My interest include golf, bowling and travel.
Jennifer Tasevski, D.D.S.
Dr. Tasevski began working in the field of dentistry as a high school student when she found a part-time position at a nearby dental office through her health occupations class.  The office happened to be that of Dr. Penny Flury and staff.   Dr. Flury became such a positive influence on her future career choice that she continued her education in the field.  Dr. Tasevski earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Detroit Mercy, and completed her education with a DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2007.  She has continued working at Dr. Flury's office part-time and has particularly enjoyed serving the smaller smiles in the office! Dr. Tasevski also interns at U of D in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. 
You will often find Dr. Tasevski, her husband of 9 years, and her two little girls enjoying all that small-town life in Plymouth as to offer!
Michele Martin, Office Manager
Originally from the Bay City area, my dental training began at the Bay Arenac Skill Center where I completed a Dental Assisting program.  The program prepared me for chairside assisting and office procedures.  After graduating, I was hired at a general dentist office.  There I assisted and ran the front desk.  After my marriage, we moved to the Detroit area where my husband found a job.  I was hired at the University of Michigan Dental School where I worked in the Oral Diagnosis and Emergency Department.  I worked directly with staff dentists and students, helping in anyway they needed with patient care.  It was a large, fast paced clinic and I loved it.
After a break to raise my three children and a four year position in customer service at Hallmark, I found my way back to the dental field.  In 1999 I responded to a Want Ad in the paper for a job in a "no stress dental office", and never looked back.
