Peter Silver, DDS
Dr. Silver enrolled at the New York University College of Dentistry after studying Biology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Although he graduated in 1985 and opened his own practice, he continues to refine his expertise by following the latest advances in dentistry.
Dr. Silver has studied at the Dawson Center, Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, PAC-Live, and the Texas Institute of Advanced Dental Science. He also studied with prominent professionals, such as Larry Rosenthal. He’s a member of genR8TNEXT, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He also earned the Fellowship Award from the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Silver is a trumpet player and long time member of Musicians Union Local 802. He has led a brass quintet for over twenty-five years, a seventeen piece big band for over nine years and plays in a latin jazz ensemble …and a small straight ahead jazz band. He performs numerous gigs around town and you can hear selections of his music on this website. He was recently featured on NPR as the Jazz Dentist of New York.
