I was born in Falls Church Virginia and have been a resident of the Richmond area since I attending the University of Richmond where I studied Biology. I then completed dental school at Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 2000, and finished Cum Laude. After dental school, I wanted to expand and refine my skills and I completed a post-graduate residency in general dentistry at MCV/VCU focused on dental implants and cosmetic dentistry. 
I am passionate about learning and have attended multiple training sessions on Cosmetic Dentistry at the Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Studies in Florida. 
 I am an active member of the following organizations:

I love gadgets and tools, and I volunteer time as an evaluator for Clinician's Report, an independant testing group that evaluates dental materials and techniques. 
Dr. Murchie serves as an Adjunct Professor at the MCV/VCU Dental Medicine Clinic where I serve the dental needs of those who have multiple medical issues- cancer, transplants, sickle cell anemia, heart diseases.
I also serve monthly at the Virginia Home where I serve people confined to wheelchairs using a special lift to enable dental work.
My wife Bevin and I have three children and we find great joy in raising them. I love Jesus and am very thankful for he accomplished for me and the world through his life, crucifixtion and resurrection. I also love to read history, love running, basketball and rooting for the Boston Celtics and Washington Redskins.
