A WOW EXPERIENCE!

EXCELLENT!!! Dr. Peter Spanganberg at Sonoma Oral & Facial Surgery must be the best oral maxillofacial surgeon in the state of Arizona. He is a miracle worker. I say this because he was an answer to our prayers. He made what was said by others to be impossible, possible. A loved one, was plagued with severe dental problems for decades, and suffered severe bone loss due to an underlying medical condition. She was told by three other oral surgeons that she was not a candidate for dental implants because of the severe bone loss. She was without hope, in a great deal of pain, unable to chew or eat, had difficulty speaking, and suffering mentally and physically from it. One of her previous oral surgeon's referred to Dr. Spanganberg of Sonoma Oral & Facial Surgery, because Dr. Spanganberg had earned a reputation of success in treating extremely complex oral and facial, dental, and medical conditions and serious facial injuries. Sonoma Oral & Facial Surgery, got her in the very next business… day. After reviewing X-rays and other dental/medical history, Dr. Spanganberg said he could absolutely place dental implants, with no problem. He explained how it could be done with new implant technology available, and alternative positioning of the implants to adapt to even the least available bone, as well as restoring new bone. And he did exactly that. His work spoke even louder than his words. He did what he said he would do, and more. Not only did he do it, but he did it all in one dayâ?¦an entire reconstruction of both upper and lower bone, jaw, including removal of failed implants from prior surgeries. She left that day with fixed healing dentures, which she will wear until everything is healed, and then the permanents will be fixed in place. He made himself accessible for questions evenings, weekends, pre-op and post-op. His office staff and dental assistances were professional, kind, resourceful and highly competent. Dr. Peter Spanganbergâ??s is committed, reassuring, positive, confident, and highly skilled, and competent. He had a plan, and it was to succeed. He is a Surgeon whose greatest marketing tool, is the patients whose lives he has changed for the better, and for the rest of their lives. Thank-you Dr. Peter Spanganberg at Sonoma Oral & Facial Surgery our family will be forever grateful.

A really nice, compassionate office when you need it most. Dr. Spanganberg will talk you through procedures, taking a lot of the anxiety out of a situation. Most importantly, he uses a combination of medicines that speed the healing time of oral surgeries *considerably* (this puts him far above other oral surgeons in my eyes.) Pain is minimized dramatically and anesthesia is just enough, so that you're pretty functional within the hour after waking. Appointments have been fairly easy to get (considering he also works from an office in Yuma.) Emergencies are handled promptly and calls seem to be returned within the same day. The office is comfortable and spotless and there's a discount for paying with cash. The in-office wait time can be a bit long sometimes, though. I'd recommend him over any other oral surgeon.

When I called for a consultation, the wait was over a month, but Nancy in the front office assured me that if I was in serious pain, they would fit me in. When my pain became difficult to manage, they fit in me and told me not to eat after midnight, in case surgery was warranted. I was seen within a few minutes and found the staff and Dr. Spanganberg to be kind, down-to-earth and understanding that I am a total coward. He felt it was best for my tooth and for my "mental health" to get my three problem teeth removed that day. He thoroughly explained the procedure, the anaesthesia and the after-care. After I was home that night, the doctor called (on a Friday night!) to check up on me. I happened to have an easy recovery, but even without that, I felt that doctor's chairside manner helped me get over my intense fear of dental work. I cannot recommend Dr. Spanganberg enough!
