RAJIV RAJAGOPAL, D.M.D,
DIPLOMATE OF THE AMERICAN BOARD OF ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEONS, joined the Associates for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in July of 2000. Prior to joining the practice he attended Utah State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in both Exercise Physiology and Community Health in 1991. Dr. Rajagopal then attended Oregon Health Sciences University (O.H.S.U.) School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon where he received his Doctor of Medicine and Dentistry (D.M.D.) degree. He was also awarded the Bernadette A. Scully Award and American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Award in 1995 for recognition of excellence in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesiology. Dr. Rajagopal completed his formal training at Kings County Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center, in Brooklyn, New York. During residency he completed rotations in anesthesiology, internal medicine, intensive care unit, trauma surgery, general surgery, plastic surgery, …emergency medicine, and otolaryngology.
Dr. Rajagopal currently practices in Medford, Grants Pass, Klamath Falls, and Ashland. He is currently on staff at Providence Medford Medical Center and Rogue Valley Medical Center. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. His clinical interests include: maxillofacial trauma, maxillofacial and dental implants, surgical pathology, orthognathic surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, and bone and soft tissue grafting procedures for maxillary and mandibular reconstruction.
Dr. Rajagopal is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Rajagopal is also a member of Healing the Children, Health Volunteers Oversees, Western Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, International Congress of Oral Implantology, Oregon Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Southern Oregon Dental Society, American Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration, and the American Trauma Society.
Away from his profession, Dr. Rajagopal enjoys spending time with his wife Sharon and their children, fishing, golfing, skiing, and visiting friends.
