The highest compliment a surgeon can pay another surgeon is entrusting him/her with the life and well-being of members of his family. When you go to a surgeon, other surgeons go to, you KNOW you are in great hands. I am a Plastic surgeon with over 30 years of experience and when my only daughter required four of her wisdom teeth to be removed, my wife and I traveled to Rockville, Maryland to have her operated on by Dr. Ralph Alman Jr, an outstanding Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon, with whose skills I was already acquainted. Dr. Alman’s office was centrally located with convenient parking in the same building. His office was impeccable and his staff was friendly and professional. They did everything to reduce our anxiety. Despite his professional stature and experience, Dr. Alman was attentive, calm and highly professional. Using advanced, state-of-the-art Cone Beam 3D CT Imaging, Dr. Alman was then able to further evaluate our daughter by visualizing her impacted molars from… virtually every angle, see their relations to the inferior alveolar (mandible) nerves and plan a customized surgical approach based specifically on the specific anatomy of my daughter’s molars. After clearly communicating his surgical plan to our family, Dr. Alman then painlessly operated on her and completed the procedure in approximately 40 minutes. After the surgery, she walked into the waiting room with a beaming ear-to-ear smile and barely any swelling. Dr. Alman’s post-operative instructions were both clear and easy to follow. His attention and availability to my daughter in the post-surgery period was as outstanding as well. He personally checked with her the night of surgery. Although I expected to see much more swelling, my daughter suffered little to no swelling after this extensive surgery and had a rapid recovery. VERY impressive. As a surgeon, I am extremely impressed and pleased with Dr. Alman’s skills and work. I could not be happier with choosing him to operate on my child and I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone considering Oral Surgery.

From the minute I walked into his office I started to feel at ease and safe.. after weeks of feeling ill , having a sore swollen gland in my neck and being on antiobiotics and not getting better I was already exhausted ..,although my two teeth under a crown never had hurt .. they were rotting under that crown and had to be removed . His staff were thoughtful, gentle and kind. Dr Alman made me feel secure during the whole procedure which was not an easy one for either of us. After cutting the crown off so he could get to my teeth both broke off at or under the gum line due to being so rotten under the gum line.. I felt so safe in his hands and i felt he knew he had everything under his control.. there was never any doubt in my mind .. with his help I have healed and I'm greatful to him and his warm staff for making it much easier than it might have been .. I'd recommend him with high regards for his knowledge and skills..
