Dr. Raul A Castano

I had a terrible experience with this dental practice. My son went in for an initial consultation covered by insurance, but Dr. Raul Castano decided to perform an additional procedure the same day, assuming it would be covered without first confirming or discussing any out-of-pocket costs. We later found out that insurance denied the procedure because it wasn’t allowed to be performed on the same day as the consultation. This lack of transparency in billing practices led to unexpected and unnecessary charges. Fabiola was INCREDIBLY RUDE and DISMISSIVE. She even hung up on me twice when I questioned the charges and insisted my son was financially responsible, disregarding their own errors in understanding insurance billing procedures. After multiple attempts to resolve this, they finally sent me an email including my son’s signed documents to remind us of his responsibility. Shockingly, this email also contained his personal and medical history without his prior consent—a clear… violation of HIPAA policies and a serious breach of privacy. This practice lacks transparency, professionalism, and—most importantly—the respect for patient privacy that is essential in healthcare, where an enforced HIPAA policy should protect all patients. If you value honest billing, patient rights, and respectful treatment, I STRONGLY ADVISE AVOIDING THIS PRACTICE. They are untrustworthy, unprofessional, and clearly unconcerned with enforcing HIPAA policies to protect their patients’ sensitive information.

My family and I have been Dr. Castano's patients since we moved to Orlando 15 years ago and the children were 7, 5 and 4 years old. We would not go to any other dental office, even for regular cleanings, for Dr. Castano and his staff hold the highest professional standards I have experienced so far. Dr. Castano is an outstanding professional, who always uses the latest and best practices in order to ensure the patient's health integrity, comfort and satisfaction. His work is fairly priced, the hygine standards kept in the office are first-rate, the staff is helpful and friendly and he is a very personable and thorough professional. My kids used to fight for first-in-line when visiting the office!!! We highly recommend his services for dental health is something we believe needs to be taken seriously.
