Dr. Ray Cooley is a native of Lucedale,MS. After graduating from Lucedale High School, he attended Perkinston Junior College and the University of Southern MS. In 1969, Dr. Cooley received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. While a student at Emory, he met and married his wife, Ann. Dr. Cooley returned to Lucedale where he practiced general dentistry with his father and mentor, Dr. La Troy Cooley. In 1971, Dr. Cooley moved to Wiggins, and has actively practiced general dentistry for over 37 years. He is an active member of the MS Dental Association, American Dental Association, and First Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir. Dr. Cooley is a former member of Wiggins Rotary Club, and proudly served our country as a Captain in the MS National Guard. He is the father of two daughters, Dr. Catherine Cooley Faulk of Jackson, and Dr. Rebecca Cooley Courtney of Wiggins. He enjoys spoiling his four grandchildren, Patrick, Charlie, Nora …and Grace Ann. When he is out of the office, Dr. Cooley can usually be found on the golf course or at his favorite fishing hole. Dr. Cooley loves practicing Dentistry and has no plans for retirement.Â
