Dr. Rex Yoshio Kido, DDS

Dr. Kido at Valley Health Center is one of the few doctors that is able to do sedation dentistry on my disabled son, who has a severe developmental disability. Since he was small I had difficultly caring for my son's teeth because he has trouble swallowing and is unable to follow even simple verbal cues. Dr. Kido has a very busy schedule but he met with me and my son for consultation and referred my son for sedation dentistry at Valley Medical Center. While Dr. Kido is very busy, he took time to explain the process, and the type of care my son would receive. Fast forward to the day of the procedure, my son was in the procedure room for about 3 hours. Afterwards Dr. Kido and the assistant explained all the work that was done on my son, and he also received a cleaning and preventive care. A couple weeks after the appointment we went back to the clinic office to follow up on the procedure. No each year or 1 1/2 yrs. we return to see Dr. Kido for a sedation appointment and on-going dental… care for my son. I am so grateful that this service exists and I am grateful to Dr. Kido. Without this option my son would not have access to dental care. I am fortunate to find a clinic that takes denti-cal benefits for my son's specialty treatment. I can take a little bit of wait time to get the hospital date for the procedure, but the rest happens quickly. The wait time is due to there only being Dr. Kido and so many kids with disabilities need his help. He's a Godsend.
