Dr. Love was raised in Thurmont, graduated from Catoctin High School, Western Maryland College (renamed in 2004 as McDaniel College) and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He began practicing dentistry in Glen Burnie, MD before he returned to Thurmont in 1983 to purchase the dental practice from Dr. John Doll, his hometown dentist.  As a general dentist, the primary focus of his practice is on family and preventive dentistry. In addition he also offers orthodontic care and cosmetic dentistry, as well as sedation for anxious and fearful patients.
Continuing education in the field of dentistry is one of his top professional priorities. In 2000 he earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) degree by completing over 500 hours of continuing education course credits. He continues to expand his professional knowledge each year by participating in continuing education classes on a variety of dentistry topics. He is …currently focusing his continuing education coursework on advances in cosmetic, orthodontics and sedation dentistry.   Â

Outside of the office Dr. Love has a strong commitment to the community. He sponsors a Thurmont Little League baseball team and supports local school and community activities. He coached youth sports for the GVAA baseball, basketball and soccer programs between 1989-2002. He held the office of president of the GVAA Soccer Program 1996 - 1998 and the Walkersville Soccer Advocates 2001-2004. Â
