Dr. Byler received his biology degree from Austin College in 1984. He graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas in 1988. While in dental school, he was selected into the Odontological Honor Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. Dr. Byler has been practicing dentistry in private practice since 1988. He began his practice in Lufkin, Texas in 1990. He is an active member in the Academy of General Dentistry receiving his Fellowship in the academy in 2006. He is also involved in the East Texas Dental Society, Texas Dental Society, American Dental Society and the Pineywood’s Dental Study Club. He was selected as a Texas Super Dentist by Texas Monthly magazine in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Dentists were evaluated on the indicators of peer recognition and professional status. Dr. Byler and his wife, Liz, have three sons. He has been active in the community as a youth soccer, basketball, and baseball coach. Dr. Byler and his family are …members of First Baptist Church in Lufkin. He is on the board of Lufkin Crime Stoppers, and a member of Lufkin Panther Sideliners.
