Dr. Richard John Schmit, DDS

I visited this office before I left for college in the fall because I was concerned about my wisdom teeth. I was in a lot of pain and my jaw would swell quite often so I figured they would need to be removed. I went in and got X-rays taken and Dr. Schmit assured me i had more than enough room for them to grow in straight and there was no need for surgery, but I may feel pain when they start erupting. I believed him and ignored the intense jaw/ear/tooth pain that I suffered with for the past months. Several days ago the pain became intolerable and I sought emergency dental help (Dr. Schmit's emergency line was not answered nor was my called returned on Monday) and was told all four of my wisdom teeth were very impacted. I wish I had gotten a second opinion a long time ago so I could have gotten them removed sooner and not be in pain now. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Dr. Schmit is great! He specializes in gentile dentistry. I can't begin to count the number of times I've FALLEN asleep in his chair while getting work done. He's great at what he does. He makes going to the dentist not scary at all!
