I enjoy the challenge of creating beautiful smiles and believe I have been truly blessed to be a part of the orthodontic profession. I am personally invested in each patient and feel that I truly have an impact on those around me. I feel privileged to play a small part in each patient's life and know I have given them a smile they can be proud of that will help build their self-esteem. I enjoy working each day surrounded by a skilled team of staff members and a talented partner of 33 years, who all love orthodontics and our patients.
My personal and professional philosophy is centered in the golden rule as I strive to treat others the way I like to be treated. In all, I never waste a day or the opportunity to create a beautiful smile.
Education and Experience
I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Baylor College of Dentistry and my Master of Science degree at St. Louis University. My undergraduate training was in biology at the University of Texas at Austin. …I am a board certified orthodontist by the American Board of Orthodontics. I was honored to serve as a former President of the Texas Association of Orthodontists and currently am the President Elect of the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists.
I have built a reputation for being a gentle orthodontist, employing modern techniques, including dental lasers and mini orthodontic implants, to treat a wide variety of complex orthodontic problems in children and adults. I have been practicing in the Houston area since 1978 and Sugar Land, Texas since 1984. I have a special interest in aesthetic techniques to straighten teeth. I am an Elite Preferred Provider of Invisalign® and lecture nationally and internationally for Align Technology, Inc., the makers of the Invisalign System. Only 1% of all Invisalign practitioners in North America qualify for Elite Preferred Provider status.
Outside the Office
I enjoy being with my family, friends, enjoying the outdoors, and sports. I spend most of my spare time with my wife, Sandy, and my two children. I am an Eagle Scout and a member of Chapelwood United Methodist Church.
