Richard P. Washut, DDS
My passion for dentistry began as a young child. As a second-generation dentist, I would assist my father in his dental practice and saw first-hand how much of a difference he made in the lives of his patients. Now that I am a dentist, I truly appreciate helping patients prioritize their dental health allowing them to keep their natural teeth for a lifetime. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of working with so many different and unique personalities each and every day and cherish the ongoing relationships I’ve established over the last 28 years. It is very rewarding to help my patients achieve optimal oral health.

I am passionate about the exciting changes in dentistry in regards to both technology and dental materials. Continuing my education is a vital aspect of keeping up with these changes and …integrating new advancements into my practice. As a member of the Yakima Valley Prosthodontic Study Club, I work closely with general dentists and specialists to learn about all the newest and most effective ways we can care for our patients.

Outside the Office
I am a native of Wenatchee, WA, and moved to Selah almost 30 years ago. My wife, Ann Marie, and I have two sons, Kyle and Andrew, who are both currently studying Pre Dental at the University of Washington. When my sons were younger, I spent most of my free time coaching their football, basketball, and baseball teams, but now that they’re grown I have the chance to enjoy the many outdoor activities this beautiful area has to offer. I can often be found mountain biking, snow skiing, playing racquetball, and grilling in the back yard.
