Dr. Derr served part-time over 20 years at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where he was promoted three times to the rank of Clinical Professor. He helped direct the General Practice Residency at the University of Minnesota Hospital Dental Clinic. As a faculty member he was elected to Omicrom Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Fraternity.
