Dr. Robert Kim grew up in Sacramento, California.  After completing his Biology degree, he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific, San Francisco.  After receiving his doctorate in 1999, he trained for an additional year in a post-doctoral program, which focused on advanced surgical procedures, and cosmetic dentistry.
He has served as a faculty member at the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry, and is currently a voluntary Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSD, School of Medicine.  He has given lectures on advanced dentistry and cosmetic procedures at the dental school.  He has presented his published research findings at professional conventions.   
Dr. Kim is known for his gentle touch, and his attention to fine details.  With his warm and friendly communication style, he provides dental treatment to many families, professionals, and dentists in the San Diego area.  He has …enjoyed being in practice for over 11 years.  He has extensive training in laser and cosmetic dentistry.  He has affiliations with the Academy of Laser Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics, American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the San Diego County Dental Society.
Away from the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.  He relaxes by taking leisurely walks with his family and golden retriever.  Occasionally, you can find him on a golf course, or in the ocean learning to surf.  He also enjoys playing tennis, spending time with friends, and listening to music.
