Dr. Bookwalter has provided orthodontic care to families in Plymouth since 1977. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University and Ohio State University Dental School. After serving two years as Lieutenant in the Navy Dental Corps, he came to the University of Michigan for post-graduate work and received his Master’s degree in Orthodontics in June of 1977.Â
Dr. Bookwalter is an Associate Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Michigan, where he supervises patient treatment by the residents and participates in seminar and course work in bio-mechanics, diagnosis and treatment planning, and practice management. He has served as an officer in the Michigan Orthodontic Association and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Bookwalter is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics, and has lectured on and published clinical research material.Â
Dr. Bookwalter is married and has two adult children and four grandsons.
