Dr. Roger Patrick Moynihan, DDS

Dr. Roger Moynihan was born and raised in Holyoke, MA.  He graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 1979 with a B.A. in Chemistry.  He then attended Northwestern University Dental School, and graduated in 1983.  After dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, CT.
Dr. Amy Jessel was raised in Palos Verdes, CA and graduated from the University of California,  Davis with a B.S. in Zoology in 1979.  She also attended Northwestern University Dental School and graduated in 1983.  After dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency at the V.A. Hospital in La Jolla, CA.
In 1985  the doctors were married, and each spent four years working as associate dentists in the Los Angeles area. Their dream was to one day work together and to establish a practice which would serve the community with excellent dentistry from caring, family-friendly professionals that put the patient first. In 1988, they moved to northern San …Diego county, and opened Mission Family Dentistry in Oceanside.
 The doctors are past and present members of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Seattle Study Club, North County Networking, and the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce. When not practicing dentistry, they are both involved in several community service organizations. Dr. Moynihan was  a volunteer with Project Wildlife’s raptor team for 16 years, and is currently a responder for CERT and a member of the Fallbrook Amateur Ham Radio Club.  Dr. Jessel volunteers her time doing  philanthropic work and enjoys interior decorating.  They have an 20 year old daughter, Katie, who is currently in the dental hygiene program at Northern Arizona University,  and a 24 year old son, Rob, who lives in NYC and is the Online Editor for TV Guide Magazine.
