Dr. Ronald W. Housley earned both his bachelor and doctorate degrees from Indiana University. He completed a General Residency at the US Naval Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After serving as the Dental Officer aboard the USS Shenandoah he left the Navy to enter private practice in the Boston area and was appointed to the faculty at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He was awarded the Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry as well as the Academy’s prestigious Mastership award.
Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry is an honor earned by less than 1% percent of the dentists in America. Family Dental Health is very proud of the fact that Dr. Ron is a Master, as there are only 17 Masters in the entire state of Maine. This award represents devotion to continuing education and achieving thousands of hours of continuing education in dentistry. A very large percentage of Dr. Ron’s continuing education is in the area of cosmetic dentistry.
