Dr. Ronald F Tribble

After graduating from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry in 1988, Dr. Ron Tribble and his wife, Jan, looked for a practice in a small community with lots of character. Winston and the surrounding areas fit the bill and he began practicing in Winston Oregon in 1989. 
As a Portland native it was important for Dr. Tribble to attend a local dental school. At OHSU Dr. Tribble graduated at the top in his class and received several awards at graduation. These were from Departments of Dental Materials and Periodontology. He was also honored with membership in the National Dental Honor Society for graduating first in his class. Dr Tribble took a short time off from private practice in the mid 1990’s to do further training in Periodontology, the treatment of gum diseases.
Dr Tribble is a member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, and Umpqua Dental Society. He regularly participates in continuing Dental Education. Topics he has …studied recently involve Dental Implants, Root Canal Treatment, and Cosmetic Dentistry. He works very hard to stay current with evolving treatment methods.
About eight years ago, Dr. Tribble was treating a patient who is responsible for the care and feeding of the African Elephants at Wildlife Safari zoological park located in Winston. This encounter led Dr. Tribble to begin providing volunteer dental care to the animals of Wildlife Safari. He has done root canals, fillings and removals on a wide variety of animals such as lions, tigers, cheetahs, and bears.  He has also volunteered his services at the Oregon Zoo in Portland where he removed a tusk from an elephant. Dr. Tribble has worked with Veterinary students from around the world helping them understand dental issues in overall exotic animal health care.
Dr. Tribble believes in providing high quality care to his patients. He always has time for questions and will cover alternative ideas to take care of his patients’ dental needs.
Dr. Tribble’s hobbies are cars and woodworking. He is a hands-on guy. His abilities and fine craftsmanship in working with cars have lead to numerous awards for his restoration work. He has been a woodworker since his teenage years and enjoys creating furniture in his shop. His skills carry over into his talents in restorative dentistry.
