Dr. Ronald David Venezie, DDS

I was a previous employee for Dr. Venezie, and quit after about 5 days of employment. For one, Dr. Venezie is a cold, cheap, heartless man who is very unethical in his line of work. His way of handling children when they are scared or crying breaks my heart. He will sometimes even grab them by their arms and get in their face to make them stop crying! I've never met such a mean man, and it appalls me he works in childcare. He treats his staff like an abusive parent would treat their child. There's never a smile on his face along with hateful words said, and his staff somehow puts up with it. He made us staff where the same coats everyday without throwing them away, (they were disposable), because they are too expensive to throw out everyday. I looked up the price- they're actually just a couple cents a piece, and because he runs his business he could write it off but chooses not to. If you complain about how dirty the coat is if he catches you throwing it away and getting a new one, he… basically screams at you about how expensive they are and how that's now what they do in "his office." If I was to give OSHA a call and report him, they'd have a party over there as well as making his staff wear the same gloves at times to "save money" on buying new gloves. I've been in the Heath care field for 10 years, and have NEVER seen such a FILTHY environment. Not only could these health violations cause disease or infection to the staff, but to be around CHILDREN while wearing jackets covered in other children's saliva and toothpaste is just disgusting. I left soon after that, because I was fed up with the cheapness of this man. I would NEVER recommend Children's dentistry of Apex to anyone. And any decent rating you see is obviously his friends and family, because from personally working for him I know it's all lies that those 5 star reviews say.

This doctor is money driven and that is his number one priority. He seems very nice at first but later on you will see that his main concern is making money. Please do not go to this dentist. We took our kid there and had some cavities repaired under sedation. After a while I realized the kind of doctor he was after he did x rays that were not necessary. We have taken our kids to another dentist that doesn't even use sedation for repairs and my kids love the new dentist. There are many out there that are more caring about the children and not how to make the most money.

Dr. Venezie is terrific with children. My girls adore him and love going to the dentist every 6-months. The staff is wonderful and I wish he treated adults. I'd become his patient in a heartbeat.
