This office needs a wake up call. I am a patient that suffers from anxiety when it comes to medical procedures, and that was definitely not considered when working with Dr. Gold and his staff. While having my wisdom teeth extracted, Dr. Gold made a distasteful comment about my tears and being an emotional woman and it was quite jarring to hear coming from one of NJ's "Top Dentists". His staff is not much better. The nurse that assisted in my procedure did not speak to me unless she absolutely had too. She gave no instructions as to what she was doing and was very robotic. She was quite upset that I had left one thumb with nail polish on, even though every single other finger was clean for her to place the heart rate monitor on. Because she didn't speak to me or give me any courtesy, I was unable to explain that I had the small amount of nail polish so I could pick at something to calm my nerves. Even the receptionist was rude. No food or drink is allowed in the waiting room, so my… father went to drink his coffee outside, but he was yelled at by the nurse because he had to be inside the facilities while I was in with the doctor. In addition, when we went to pick up my prescriptions, the receptionist completely butchered the spelling of my name when calling it into the pharmacy, so much so I had to call my insurance company and explain that the prescriptions were for me in order to pick them up. While Dr. Gold technically did a good job (I had no swelling or pain after my surgery and was eating solid foods the next day), I would not recommend his practice to anyone, especially those that suffer from anxiety or have a fear of medical procedures. Dr. Gold and his staff made me feel like I was a piece of meat to be butchered so that they could get onto the next patient and get their money.

Highly recommend

Very professional setting and staff. They are not the warmest bunch... But it's clear they take their work very serious and I felt in very good hands start to finish because of that. They handled my need like business and that's what matters most. I will hopefully not need too many more visits to an oral surgeon but would recommend them to anyone that is in need.
