Dr. Ruth Woldemicael (Dr. Mimi)
Dr. Ruth Woldemicael (Dr. Mimi) grew up in Ethiopia and immigrated to the US with her older sister in 1986. Her dreams of becoming a doctor led her to Temple Universities School of Dentistry where she received her Degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2001. She accomplished her General Practice Residency (GPR) at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in 2002. 
Dr. Mimi moved to the Great Northwest in 2002 where she then began her dental practice.  In 2009 she made the decision to advance her dental knowledge and enrolled in the world renowned Las Vegas Institute (LVI) where she graduated in 2010. Her training, credit hours and understanding of advanced occlusion and esthetics now puts her in the top 3% of general dentists in the country.  She is frequently among the first to learn and perfect the newest treatment techniques available to diagnose and treat dental issues including sleep issues, TMJ pain, and migraines using an sEMG scanner and very low …radiation digital X-Rays.  
When Dr Mimi is not practicing her passion for healthy esthetic dentistry she enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and they enjoy hiking and camping.  Dr. Mimi speaks several languages;  French, Amharic & Tigriana (Ethiopian Dialects) and Italian.
Patrick, Patient Coordinator & Office Manager
Patrick is very excited to be making his debut in the dental field. As a recent dental patient, Patrick experienced first-hand how important healthy, clean, and beautiful teeth should feel. His passion for customer service has brought him to Mimi Smiles where he is thrilled to learn everything he can about the dental field. He joins the office as our Patient Coordinator, and he hopes to help make every patient’s experience a pleasant one.  Patrick received his BFA in dance at Cornish College of the Arts. For the last 4 years he has been dancing professionally and continues to teach dance throughout the Seattle area.
Kelly Bendock, Dental Hygienist
A true Seattle native, Kelly grew up in the University District eventually becoming a Husky receiving a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Washington.  Her interest in oral health grew during her experience as an oral surgery assistant.  This led her to pursue a career in dental hygiene.  Kelly values the health of her patients and is always committed to providing them with the best and most current treatment available.  An avid sports fan, Kelly keeps her team spirit and energy levels high on and off the court.
Emily Pederson, Dental Assistant
Emily grew up in Oak Harbor, WA and attended Skagit Valley College. Not knowing what she wanted to do for a career, she took a job as a bank teller where she enjoyed the social interaction with her clients, & continued her education.  Her clients that attended Everest College for Dental Assisting were so enthusiastic about their careers that she wanted to give it a try. Emily graduated from school in 2011 and is very excited to be working in a field that she is so passionate about.  Her interest in the dental field began as a young child when she begged her father for braces because she felt that in order to put her most confident foot forward she needed to have a confident smile.  She wants to help our patients reach this level of confidence for themselves and share the knowledge that will help them keep a natural and healthy smile for life. EmiIy enjoy spending her spare time outdoors either hiking or camping during the warmer months or snowboarding during the colder ones.
Kim Coombs, Dental & Administrative Assistant
Kim graduated from Lake City Dental Assisting Training Center in 2009 and has been enjoying working in the dental field ever since. Her previous experience has mostly been in customer service. She is excited to join our Team & learn about the latest in dental technology. Her focus is on helping making patients as comfortable as possible during their appointments. Kim’s outside hobbies include softball, music and she loves animals. She brings her warm, friendly personality & overall enthus
