Dr. Salem Akkad

I have resisted a CPAP for a while because I just couldn't stand the thought of being hooked up to a machine. My sleep specialist referred me to Dr. Akaad. He is just wonderful. I got a temporary device until I could get my permanent one so I could go on my cruise. Amazing!! My roommate said "No Snoring"!! I have received my permanent one and I am getting used to it. Sleep is so much better. Dr. Akaad and his staff are #1.

Dr. Akkad took his time with my father who has moderate sleep apnea. He was extremely patient and always welcomed our questions and concerns. His staff is fabulous. They worked so hard to get the insurance company to pay for the device whereas our family dentist told us there was no way insurance would cover and wanted to charge us $4000 for the device. I'm so glad we went to Dr. Akkad. My father is doing great now and our whole family is thankful to Dr. Akkad and his staff

Personable & knowledgeable with a staff to support him perfectly. I cannot day enough about how much different life is after being in his care. The best answer for sleep solutions & insurance knowledgeable also. I’d give more stars if I could.

I recently got my oral appliance after being diagnosed with sleep apnea and it has helped me so much. I doubted it at first but I'm so glad I tried it. It's easy to use and you're not plugged into anything. I don't feel lazy or worn out during the day. I feel so much better with a lot of rest. Definitely glad I tried it. Painless!

I went from snoring so loud you could hear me in other rooms even when the bedroom door was shut to absolutely no snoring whatsoever! I was always tired and felt run down. With my mouth pieces I now feel refreshed when I wake up in the morning. I can sleep on my side or stomach with no cumbersome Cpap machine. Dr. Akaad is wonderful; extremely knowledgeable and very helpful when it came to adjustments to my appliances. There is some jaw soreness at first but it does go away. I am very pleased with my choice of using the oral appliance.

After being diagnosed with sleep apnea I knew there were two choices. Either I could use a Cpack mask or an oral appliance. After trying to use the C-pack mask I contacted Dr. Akkad's office. The entire experience was A+ from his staff and Dr. Akkad's diagnosis, treatment, fitting for an appliance and ultimately getting the appliance. I was most impressed with Dr. Akkad's patience in answering all my questions and how I was not treated as just another customer. The oral appliance is working and could not be happier in my decision for this treatment to my sleep apnea or to my choosing Dr. Akkad for the treatment.

The appointment process was easy. All of the staff friendly and welcoming. Wait time was less than a couple of minutes and Dr. Akkad took the time to go through my study/test results and explain what was going on. He actively listened to how the device worked, the issues I noticed and adjusted it accordingly. I was very pleased with the service.

It's extremely rare to find a doctor who makes these mouth pieces which counteract sleep apnea in the first place. Then, it's even more rare to find one who actually takes Medicare. The icing on the cake was that on top of everything else, he's competent, helpful, friendly, and I never had a wait time in his office! What more can you ask??

He has worked so hard to help me correct my sleep issues. He is always pleasant and accommodating to my individual needs. Also his reptionist, Shasta, is so sweet and efficient.
