I grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois and attended Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois. After high school I attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and then went on to Loyola University Dental School. While attending dental school I operated my own dental laboratory and in my senior year assisted an oral surgeon in Bloomingdale where I learned a tremendous amount about surgical procedures. Upon graduation I was accepted into a one-year position as a resident in a downtown Chicago office in which I expanded my dental skills working alongside a group of my former teachers from Loyola. Throughout the year I received advanced training in endodontics, periodontics, and prosthetic dentistry. Working with these specialists was a wonderful learning experience, and because of this training I have always been able to offer my patients a wide variety of treatment options in my office.
In 1992 I began private practice in a busy Chicago practice. At this dental office I met …Dr. McNerney and after working together for two years we decided to open a practice together in Lake Zurich. What a great decision! We opened our doors in 1995 and after only a few short years, constructed a building to accommodate the rapid growth of Sandy Point Dental. I have found the Lake Zurich area to be the perfect location for growing a dental practice. Our patients are awesome and present with such a variety of needs. A day at Sandy Point Dental has included providing cosmetic dentistry on a professional public speaker in the morning and helping a child understand the need for her first filling in the afternoon. Building each relationship on a foundation of trust helps our dental office stand out above the industry standards.
