Meet Dr. Samer Alassaad
Dr. Samer S. Alassaad has a great passion for the art and science of dentistry. He is committed to continuing education in order to provide his patients with the best modern dentistry can offer and to creating lasting relationships with his patients and his community.
He received his dental degree in Istanbul, Turkey and his California dental license from the Dental Board of California in 2003. Since then, he has been practicing dentistry with Dr. Childress in his new hometown, Davis.
Dr. Alassaad places high priority on educating himself and his patients. His education continues with many post graduate courses. He has attended USC, UCSF, Spears Dental Education in Arizona, the Dental Organization for Oral Conscious Sedation, the World Laser Institute and the Pankey Dental Institute in Florida. He has recently published an article in the premier peer-reviewed journal of the Academy of General Dentistry. He also writes articles regarding oral health in the …“Focus on Health†column of the Davis Enterprise newspaper. Dr. Alassaad shares his enthusiasm for dentistry with Davis's youth by speaking at local high schools and UCDavis about careers in dentistry.
Dr. Alassaad maintains membership in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, California Dental Association and Sacramento District Dental Society. Â
Along with his wife Nihan and their daughter Aylin, Dr. Alassaad enjoys living in Davis and being a member of the Davis community. Along with Dr. David Jolkovsky he co-founded the Photography Club of Davis, serving as the club's first president. He is also a photography instructor at UCD Extension – Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and an active member of the Rotary Club of Davis.
