Sharone Ward, are a husband and wife, single location dental practice where we get to know and take care of our patients as individuals, the way that we like to be taken care of ourselves. Dr. Galstan is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and also is a recipient of the AGD's Lifelong Learning and Service Award. In addition, Dr. Galstan holds Fellowships in the Virginia Dental Association and the International College of Dentists. A graduate of the University of Virginia with an undergraduate degree in Biology and the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry / V.C.U. with a D.D.S. degree, Dr. Galstan is one of only 287 dentists in the …entire United States to earn a Mastership and a Lifelong Learning and Service Award in the Academy of General Dentistry, a nationally credentialed program requiring extensive hours of education and testing. To our knowledge, Dr. Galstan is the only dentist in the world to have a Mastership and Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition Award and a Master in Public Health. To better serve his patients, after graduating from dental school Dr. Galstan completed a general practice residency program in General Dentistry at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, North Carolina, where he learned advanced dental and patient care techniques, including cross-training with Family Practice Physicians and serving rotations through the Emergency Department and E.N.T. Department. 1990.
