Nearly 5 years ago Scott abandoned me after draining all of my insurance benefits. I was left with a strange and absolutely useless lower denture contraption which he insisted would demonstrate the unnecessary replacement of 4 lower molars. He fabricated a second Lower denture which had absolutely no retention, apparently due to a deformed central palet area. His clinical Notes Clearly Indicate he had correctly concluded that sharp bone projection were present in my upper jaw , where teeth had been by the surgeon he sent me to. I can not understand why his notes indicate that he did Not notify me of that severe problem . Several years , and two remedial surgical procedures later, I am finally nearly recovered from these failures
It was a serious mistake on my part, to allow Dr. Bobbitt to manage my surgery, and create a Full Upper Denture, and a Partial Upper Denture. My insurance coverage for these items has been depleted, and I am left with the above two devices, which are absolutely unusable.
I am so sorry to hear that your were unhappy with your denture therapy. and a shame that you decided to not pursue the implants that would have resolved your retention problem--per the original treatment plan you had accepted prior to our removal of your infected teeth. Unfortunately, when a patient has severe infection that destroys bone, even a well-made denture will have poor retention--especially bad if the patient has a gag reflex that limits my ability to make a full palate upper denture. I am certain that, if you had proceeded with dental implants, I could have certainly provided a denture that was both stayed put when it was supposed to AND was esthetically and functionally pleasing. I am sorry that you chose to seek care elsewhere, but am sure that you will find a dentist to provide you the implants you had originally desired. Good luck to you and, please, feel free to contact my office if you are not satisfied with the care you are receiving.
Dr. Bobbitt is the most knowledgable and skilled dentist I have ever met. I have been a patient of his for the past 17 years. I trust him and his staff completely! Would not go anywhere else for my care .
Thank you for your kind words. I have spent my entire professional life building a patient-centered practice and expanding my clinical knowledge base in order to provide multi-disciplinary treatment for my patients. I enjoy caring for generous and appreciative patients like you!
i will not be back to see this guy something wrong there.
Wow! Not sure why or where our disconnect occurred, but your experience is CERTAINLY not even close to that which we hope to provide. Hundreds of other positive reviews means we must be doing "something" right. I am sorry that I or my office failed you. Obviously, something was amiss, and I would be happy to make amends if given the opportunity.
