Scott Clemons
Scott is a long term resident of Iowa City. He grew up and attended Hoover Elementary, Southeast Junior High, and City High School. After graduating from City High in 1985, Scott attended Luther College in Decorah, IA, where he received his BA degree in 1989. Scott attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1993. He then did an additional year of residency in the Family Dentistry Department, completing the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program.
Scott received many honors in dental school including the Deans Leadership award, the William S. Kramer Award of Excellence in Prosthodontics, The American College of Dentists Outstanding Achievement Awards, and the Senior Student award from the Faculty in Family Dentistry. Once in practice, Scott received the Young Dentist of the Year Award, an annual statewide award.
Scott is an adjunct faculty member in the Departments of Operative Dentistry and Family …Dentistry at the College of Dentistry. He teaches in the senior clinic and gives a yearly lecture to the freshman on General Dentistry.
Scott is married and has three beautiful children. Besides spending his free time with his family, he is an avid bass fisherman. Scott is active in the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, and the Johnson County Dental Association.
