Dr. Scott G Sandler

Dr. Scott Sandler has been practicing dentistry in New York City since 1981. He has been at 225 East 70th Street since 1985.  He received his doctoral degree from New York University in 1981 and his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1978 from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.  Upon graduating NYU Dental School Dr. Sandler served as a resident at Misericordia Hospital Medical Center (a major affiliate of New York Medical College from July 1, 1981- June 30th, 1982).
My primary goal as a dentist is to help patients maintain good dental health throughout their lifetime. To meet this goal, my staff and I stress preventive dental care and provide personalized, quality dental treatment in accordance to the needs of each patient.
We enjoy working with patients of all ages. Children usually come for their first dental visit when they are around 2 years of age. We try to make the visit enjoyable and informative, while slowly introducing the child to our office, staff and …procedures. Unless there is active decay or other diagnostic needs, children are seen twice a year. For treatment of special problems, such as poorly aligned teeth, I refer patients to specialists (Orthodontists) and then work closely with them.
I believe in providing my patients with a relaxed and unhurried dental environment. My patients find me to be caring, gentle and thorough. In an effort to provide my patients with up-to-date treatment methods I regularly attend continuing education courses. I am also a member of the NYS Dental Society, and The American Dental Association and also do volunteer work with Lenox Hill Neighborhood House Association.
When I am not in the office with my patients, you may find me on a racquetball or tennis court or playing softball or basketball with my sons Alex (17) and Jesse (11).
