Dr. Sharde Harvey

The worst dentist experience I've ever had! I went to her after having pain in my tooth, which was echoing in my right ear and right side of the throat. I looked up my symptoms and everywhere it said I might have a tooth abscess. When I made an appointment asking if they have room same day or the next day, they told me to come same day. When I arrived they charged me $250 for the "emergency" fee which they didn't notify me when I called. She ended up misdiagnosing me and replacing a filling when I needed to go to the endodontist for a root canal immediately. My infection kept spreading causing my throat to inflame. She not only overcharged me, she cause my infection to spread. Unless you want a misdiagnosis, do no go to this dentist!

Like all the other reviews have stated she is very pushy when it comes to additional services. I was charged multiple out of pocket expenses that were not mentioned until after my appointment. Claims insurance did not cover my full cost, I have never had to pay out of pocket at any dentist.

Very questionable sales practices. The forced tour of the office without the ability to decline it was the first red flag (who does that at a dental office??). Try to push products on you from all angles. They then sign you up for future appointments even if you explicitly ask them not to and beg them to get you out of their system. Considering reporting to Better Business Bureau and/or Dental Associations.

Doctor Harvey and her staff provide high-quality work, however, their customer service has room for improvement. They are very pushy and unprofessional when it comes to offering other services. After countless attempts of trying to convince me to get another service, the doctor was patronizing and her attitude was condescending after I kept rejecting the services being offered. She made a comment about how I should be spending my money which was crossing a boundary as I am going for dental services, not financial advice. The overall experience from the first time I went was uncomfortable because of how pushy the whole team is. I went back because I had an emergency and they had provided me with a discount offer, however, I definitely won't be going back. She's an efficient doctor but needs to learn her place. If a patient says no, let them know the repercussions and let them think about it, then follow-up, versus being condescending and pushy.

High-pressure sales tactics. More like a used car salesperson than a healthcare professional. Scared me into a very high-cost CAT scan that I later learned was useless. Avoid

Dr. Harvey is a really good dentist. She is extremely talented and thorough. Being a mid-town dentist, she is more expensive than dentists outside the City. But, if you work in NYC or nearby the location is very convenient. I have known Dr. Harvey for many years and I am a patient.
