Dr. Sheila Tan, DDS

I had been a patient of Camino dental group for almost a decade. It was my Christian friend who recommend Camino Dental group to me. At the beginning, Dr. Sheila and Dr. Brian gave me a very good impressions because they are Christians. Secondly, they act very friendly and humble. However, during routine checkup, I found out that the x-ray images of my teeth was very blurry. I made a comment to Dr. Sheila about the poor quality of the x-ray image, but Dr. Sheila told me that the x-ray image was digital image and that was the reason. I am not in medical field. So, I never questioned them again until 2018. About summertime in 2018, I had a tooth pain, they were shut down for 2 weeks for vacation. I went to Kifer Park Dental for help. They took x-ray of my tooth. I was amazed of the good quality of the x-ray image. But the Dentist on duty told me that she did not have the experience to perform the operation. So, I went to see Dr. Sheila. When I saw her, I told her that she need… to upgrade her x-ray machine. I also told her about my experience with Kifer Park Dental. But this time she remained silence. I stared to raise my voice and urged her to upgrade their machine because it was vital to all her patients. Anyway, because of their x-ray machine produced very poor image quality, it failed to show any cavity especially for the molar teeth. When I feel pain again for another tooth, it was too late and had reached the nerve. The routine checkup was seemed useless. I went to see Dr. Sheila. She told me that the pain was due to old fillings on my tooth. It needed a replacement. However, like last time, I reminded her to upgrade her x-ray machine again. After the operation, I felt unusual enormous pain in my tooth until midnight. Also, during eating, the pain did not go away. I went back to see her again. Once again, she told me that the pain was due to the old filling. She need to redo it again. I started to doubt her judgement. But I still let her to do it because I did not see any reason for her to hurt me. But during the visit, I continue to give out warning regarding to their fault x-ray machine. In order to give her some pressure, I raised my voice. Her new dental assistance told me that there were other patients also complaint about that. After the operations, I felt huge pain again in my tooth till midnight. Also, the tooth pain also did not go away during eating, and the routine checkup was coming up, I went to see Dr. Sheila again. Without thinking twice, she told me that it was the fillings again. I changed to a new job and had been very busy. I made a serious mistake to let her do the third time. This time, after the operation, I felt unusual pain in my tooth for a whole week and the toothache still did not go away during eating. I was upset and see Dr. Sheila for the fourth time for the same issue. Surprisingly, she told me that I need to do the tooth refilling replacement for the fourth time. I got very upset this time. I made an appointment to see Dr. Brian. He could easily identify the problem and told me that I need to do root canal. I started to complain to him about his wife. He was very surprised at his wife by failing to make a good judgement. Then, I realized I might make a very serious mistake by complaining too much about their faulty x-ray machine which could gave them a deep trouble. If their patients knew that Camino Dental were using faulty x-ray machine for more than a decade, and it failed to identify any issue with their tooth at the early stage. Their tooth became so bad that it need to do root canal. Camino Dental could also made money from the subsequent doctor visit, and charge for the new crown, Camino Dental could face huge lawsuit. I went to see another dentist to fix the issue. However, my tooth had went through so many operations. It became so weak that it needs to be extracted. I never go back again!
