Dr. Soe Hlaing

I went to the El Monte office last month for an infected tooth. My first impression was not so great, as his staff was extremely rude. I tried not to let that get in the way, and being in such extreme pain, I could have cared less if it were a veterinarian doctor treating me at the time. I was given 3-4 pages of medical questions to answer, they were in such a hurry, I was not allowed the time to complete. (They had all the time in the world to take my cash) I informed this dentist that I have a Mitral Valve Prolapse, I was given a one week prescription of antibiotics, and he gave me a consent to treat form that I was to have my medical doctor fill out. I informed him that I do not have a primary care physician, and I lost my Kaiser insurance when I left my job to care for my dying parent. I went ahead and sent the form to Kaiser. I called his office today to see if they had received the consent form...again the staff who answered the phone was rude, and claimed that she couldn't find… my record. I asked her if she could please ask the doctor, if I could possibly have a bacterial infection that has spread from my tooth throughout my body, as my body temperature has been running 95.3, very low blood pressure, headache and every bone in my body was hurting. She told me that the doctor was too busy, but I could come into the office. I am sure they just wanted to be able to charge me for an office visit. Unfortunately these so called professionals are very unprofessional, and are more concerned about their pocketbooks than the health and well being of the patient. I would not recommend this office to anyone who may be in need of a caring and quality dentist. The only reason I am giving one star, is because it is a required field to post a review. In my opinion, the only star they deserve is one that requires a badge. It should be against the law to treat people so inhumanely.
