Dr. Sonia Vulakh

She is horrible

This office seems like it's out to make money and doesn't really listen to its patients and what they want. They are not upfront about costs and seem like they want to bully you into getting services that you might not even need. I would not recommend.

At my first visit Sonia put a dental crown, but the crown cracked right in the office.Horrible experience. Then 3 weeks later i came back again and the Sonya was trying to put the crown again, but it didn't fit, and she started to file down the other teeth so it would fit and then Sonya realized that it was some other patient's crown. Can you imagine that ? Horrible and heartbreaking experience. Pain and suffering just can't be described here. Sonya apologized many times in the presence of her assistant Terry, who also apologized and then I had to wait another 3-4 weeks to come back again and start all over. In addition the tooth that Sonya was filing down chipped and she never fixed it. What can i tell you ... RUN from her office now.

My issue is with office management. We are now in collections and going to court over small outstanding balance. Balance could have been paid in two days, but office manager could not wait until end of week and sent us to her attorney for collections. I have never seen any business run like this, especially a professional practice. My wife offered to pay in full with a credit card over the phone. Office manager denied and said if you do not come in you will be in collections. I wonder if Dr. Vulakh is really aware of how her patients are be treated after the work is done. I hope not, otherwise shame on you Dr. Vulakh!

Appointment was fine, however even though I am 100% covered for preventative care, I was still charged $50. After calling, they indicated that they took pictures of my teeth that are not covered under insurance. (Why these pictures were taken without consulting me or checking with my insurance first, they couldn't answer). They also said they wouldn't drop the charges and that they would be passed along to a collection agency if I do not pay the bill in a timely manner. I told them I would be finding another dentist and they seemed indifferent. Be very weary if you decide to use this dentist
