You will sit in the waiting room for hours and secretaries talk crap about patients behind there backs. Unprofessional! Go anywhere but here.

He is awful!! To anyone thinking of going to him if you want to keep your teeth GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Do NOT go to him. He does UNECESSARY work and awful work at that. He will tell you that you have a bunch of cavities that you dont even have and will drill your teeth so much there will barely be any left if you let him. He also extracted one of my teeth that were fine and he also will try to do a bunch of root canals. Please.. I recommend that no one go to him so you dont end up like i am now. I was nieve to the situation and let him do any work he recommended but now i know better and just dont want anyone else to be in my position now

I received a root canal. For 2 months I was in terrible pain. He would do NOTHING! Insurance termed, still in excruciating pain he said he could just pull tooth and charged an outrageous amount to pull the tooth. The root canal did not work because he obviously did not do it correctly and received money from insurance for the root canal, in which the permanent cap was never put on he should have pulled it for free!!! I do not recommend this dentist for anyone!

Dr Ellis is a fantastic dentist. My children love dealing with him and his staff. He explains every procedure and explains in detail the reason for the problem. He made me comfortable , His dentures fit and he is affordable.

Waiting for a scheduled appointment is an all day affair with this dentist. Dr. Ellis is as crooked as they come.

Who in there right mind does 16 root canals on a kid just because they have tenncare. Someone needs to stop this madness before he hurts someone really bad.

I finally learned to listen to my "gut" with this dentist. I felt uneasy about many things he said on my very first visit, but I saw him again because I didn't trust my gut instincts. He finally proved himself to me as a greed-fueled, dishonest person. Later, I learned about some of his past blunders from former patients. One of them advised me to find another dentist immediately because of the trauma that her brother experienced while under Dr. Ellis' care. I took that advise, but not before suffering some major problems caused by him and paying loads of money for inferior care. He overcharges to the extreme and seems to favor unnecessary root canals and other procedures. He also writes too many prescriptions for pain meds and antibiotics..anything to add more to his overpriced charges. I'm very disappointed in Dr. Ellis and will continue to talk about my experience to others, hoping that they don't make the mistakes I did.

I saw this dentist several times before I moved on, but my experience was unsatisfactory every time. His staff schedules appointments on top of each other. It is not unusual to wait 1-3 hours in the waiting room and then another hour after being taken back. I've asked other patients and noticed that anywhere from 2 to 3 of them were scheduled for the same appointment time as me. If this had happened once due to someone needing emergency care, I would have understood. The wait time alone is agony for those of us who have chronic health problems. A few of his staff will cop an attitude if you express any displeasure and Dr. Ellis himself will make excuses and play the "stressed, pressed for time, poor, poor me" card if you mention his office practices to him. How he chooses to schedule appointments is his responsibility. He keeps his office unbearably cold, even during winter. This is another issue that is unacceptable for patients who are elderly or unwell. They once scheduled me to see… a hygienist who was freshly out of school and too nervous to do her job effectively. After, I left with little to no cleaning having been done, yet I paid over $100 for that visit. I've also experienced walking around for a couple of months with the pain and aggravation of a procedure that was performed incorrectly. I later discovered the assistant was not even qualified to attempt this procedure, which is why I had to see a specialist. Did I mention that I paid an arm and a leg for it anyway? I've had a couple of failed procedures by Dr. Ellis himself as well. Dr. Ellis' prices are exorbitant compared to other dentists I've seen, even when it comes to cleaning and check-ups. He injured me once by cutting into my lip during a routine surgery because he wasn't paying attention to the placement of a dental saw. I've been informed by someone who works in a nearby pharmacy that Dr. Ellis has a reputation for inferior care and painful or potentially dangerous mistakes, so I know I'm not alone. The final issue I have with this dentist is something that I would not expect other patients to have endured, but I feel my experience illustrates this dentist's uncaring attitude. The last injury came in the form of fluoride poisoning and I have spent years trying to recover from that and the disease that followed. I've seen enough from this dentist and his staff to know that he is negligent, but the overriding problem here is simply greed.
