Summary
Dr. Sorkin was born and raised in Louisiana. She attended Tulane University in New Orleans and in 1995 graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. She then received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1999 at Boston University Dental School. The following year she completed a general practice residency at North Shore University Hospital in New York and in 2002 earned her post-graduate training in Orthodontics at New York University. She became a board certified orthodontist by the American Board of Orthodontists in 2007. Dr. Sorkin and her husband Andrew, also a dentist, settled in Maryland in 2002. After being an associate with Drs. Scott, Lawyer & Lu for 2-1/2 years, she became a partner in 2008.
Dr. Sorkin, Andrew and their two children, Caleb and Abby reside in Brookeville. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.
