Dr. Stephen Wayne Boatright, DDS

Had a complex situation but after root amputation had so much trouble. Ended up that the initially pleasant staff and doctor- effectively chased me away with rudeness - due to me having to return over and over no charge (because I kept telling him something was wrong-) I had puss coming out of this spot and they kept denying it was an issue. Dr Boatright finally got very abrupt and said it’s just gum disease! So , surgeries later- and sinus specialist.. I tell everyone I can- be cautious. As soon as I had issues after the surgery performed( and still have issues) they were done with me.

I would like to say that I have used this dentist once before to perform a root canal on a tooth that was underneath a bridge. He had to go through the cap of the bridge in order to do so. I had no pain nor discomfort afterward. However, after two years and a new bridge I went once again for him to examine the same tooth. Apparently I had a crack in my bridge that had caused some infection. The Dr. examined it and decided that he should do another root canal on it. So after a shot and a block to keep my mouth open the assistant began to put some type of device in to help keep everything from flying around in my mouth. I will say that was the beginning of the pain. The work began and at times if felt as if someone were drilling through my tooth and out the side of my gums. I know I winced several times. I couldn't say anything because of of all the things in my mouth. I heard them talking about how my gum was bleeding. At some point I was given another shot. The Dr. eventually had to… cut loose the bridge in order to be able to see what he was doing. The pain was excruciating and the shot did little to ease that pain. When the root canal was finished and they began to fill it up, I heard the Dr. say that the bridge was not sitting down like it should have been and they needed to give my regular dentist more to work with. It was if the first root canal was not done correctly the first time which in turn caused the bridge to break and the infection to settle in. At this point the Dr. informed me that the tooth was cracked and they would have to extract it. I had sat in the dentist chair for two hours in excruciating pain all to get down to him telling me it would have to be taken out. Another shot was administered because I hadn't lost all feeling. I was able to express this once all the tools were removed from my mouth. I paid over a thousand dollars for sitting in that chair for two hours having a root canal on the same tooth that had been cleaned out two years prior in terrible pain almost the entire time. I will say that I have never had to take any pain medicine after a dentist appointment but in this case i was taking pain medicine for three days afterward. I have had two bridges, wisdom teeth pulled, Jaw teeth pulled, cavities drilled and filled and those were painless compared to this experience. I called their office over a week later to inform them that I would be writing a review on the experience. I had read other reviews written and felt that I needed to voice my experience. I'm not mad at the Dr. nor the Assistant because I do feel that they honestly cared about the way I felt. I just wish my experience had of been better.

I booked an appointment with Dr. Boatright for a root canal, before I read these negative reviews. I considered canceling my appointment because of some of the comments. I’m so glad I didn’t. I found the entire experience very positive! From the staff to Dr. Boatright, everyone was professional, caring, and attentive to my every need. I would definitely use him again!

I booked a root canal with Dr. Boatman before reading these reviews. I considered canceling my appointment after seeing what some people wrote. Not personally knowing him or anyone else who knew him, needless to say I was hesitant. I was so pleasantly surprised from the moment of walking through the door to be greeted by his friendly staff to meeting Dr. Boatwright who was friendly, caring and professional throughout the entire procedure. After the procedure, he sat down and explained everything to me and showed me the x-rays taken throughout the root canal. My entire experience couldn’t have been better. I would highly recommend Dr. Boatwright!

Please save yourself the pain, time, and money of seeing this "dentist". Not only was his bedside manner the worst - I have never ever experienced anything like it - He overfilled my canals and missed an entire canal. Now I have to have a tooth that I believed was restored, pulled. He should not be practicing.

Went to Stephan Boatwright yesterday and he saved my tooth after I was told I would have to get an implant I cried and cried thinking I was about to have a space in between my smile and he saved the day and my tooth! He was very nice and made sure I was not in pain! Great dentist! Beautiful office! Everyone was so friendly and his paintings are amazing! Thank u Stephan for saving my smile!

Nobody enjoys a root canal. The team at Boatright made this an easy process and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. They followed up with me the next day to make sure I was still doing good. Nothing but good words for them.

His staff was professional, not so much for the Doctor. He was rude and unprofessional and I also have had a dentist wonder about his recommendation to do three root canals and a root amputation, I no longer have that molar. I wish I would have went to someone else. Not a pleasant experience.??

Had a root canal today and both DrBoatright and his staff was easy and pleasant plus professional. It was explained to me and I felt no pain during the procedure. Yes I’m a little sore afterwards because an envasive procedure occurred that is normal. Dr Boatright is the only one I will use if I ever have to do this again and I HIGHLY recommend him,10 out of 10.
