Dr. Stephen Patrick Shannon, DDS

DR. STEPHEN SHANNON
Dr. Shannon graduated from LSU School of Dentistry in 1999, then completed a one year general dentistry residency at the VA Hospital. After three years of associating, Dr. Shannon purchased his present practice in 2002. Dr. Shannon prides himself on treating each patient as a family member. When you enter the practice, you will feel at home as if you belong to a dental family. The office will make you feel at home with a clean, safe, and cozy environment. Dr. Shannon wants all patients to be as relaxed as possible during any treatment.
Dr. Shannon's professional affiliations include: The American Dental Association, The Louisiana Dental Association, and the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association.
Dr. Shannon donates dental services through The Healing Place Church "Dental Bus" which provides dentistry to anyone in the Greater Baton Rouge Area in need.
Dr. Shannon was also a clinical instructor for the LSU School of Dentistry in the Fixed Prosthodontics Department …when the school was displaced in Baton Rouge after Hurricane Katrina.
Dr. Shannon averages over 60 hours of continuing education each year. The state requirement is only 21 hours. He also attends the Pankey Institute for advanced dental education once a year. This helps him stay on the cutting edge of the latest dental techniques and materials.
Dr. Shannon has a lovely wife, Kelli, to whom he has been married 7 years. They have 2 children: Emma Grace and Katelyn, ages 5 and 3. He enjoys spending free time with his family. His hobbies include: physical fitness, tennis, and bike riding. Dr. Shannon is a parishoner at St. George Parish and is a member of the Men of Manresa.
Dr. Shannon's mission is to treat each and every patient with respect and a friendly attitude, the way he would treat his own family.
