Stephen Silvers, D.M.D.
Dr. Stephen Silvers first moved to Tallahassee in 1969 and graduated from Godby High School in 1971 and Florida State University in 1975. Shortly after, he entered dental school at the University of Florida where he earned his D.M.D. degree in 1980.
Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Silvers signed up for active duty in the Army Dental Corps where he served four years at Fort Benning, GA. In 1984, he left the U.S. Army and entered private practice in Brandon, FL. After completing two years in private practice, he elected to return to active duty as a dentist in the U.S. Air Force where he attained the rank of full Colonel. In 1994, he completed a rigorous one-year residency in Advanced Clinical Dentistry at Eglin AFB, FL.
His military decorations include the Army and Air Force Commendation Medals and four Meritorious Service Medals for distinguished service in the Air Force Dental Corps. In 2003, …Colonel Silvers retired from the military and returned to his hometown in Tallahassee where he joined Dr. Murrell in private practice.
Dr. Silvers is a member of the Northwest District, Florida, and American Dental Associations and the Leon County Dental Society. He is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Silvers is married to the former Marsha Harman also from Tallahassee. They have three children, Scott, Melissa, and Meredith.
