Dr. Tamim M Sifri, DDS

Dr. Tamim Sifri is very pleased to be able to offer the finest dental services to the Madison area. Dr. Sifri started Smart Dental in 2007 with the mission to help patients become smarter about their own dental health. “Education is the key to prevention, the key to a healthy smile, the key to making smart choices. We empower our patients to make smart choices by taking the time to educate them. The most rewarding experience as a dentist is to help someone who hasn’t been to the dentist in years and to empower them to improve their smile.”
Although born right here in Madison, Dr. Sifri grew up throughout the Midwest. Dr. Sifri earned a Bachelor of Science With Distinction from the University of Iowa in 2000. He then continued his education by earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2004. After dental school Dr. Sifri worked as a staff dentist at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he obtained …advanced training in the areas of esthetic dentistry and implant dentistry.
Wishing to return to the Midwest, Dr. Sifri was pleased to have the opportunity to come to Madison to open Smart Dental. “I started Smart Dental because I wanted to create an environment where I could really get to know my patients and to provide them with the highest level of care.” This personalized touch is what sets Smart Dental apart from other larger dental offerings. Smart Dental is about the patient and how everyone can have a healthy smile.
Dr. Sifri maintains membership in the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, Dane County Dental Society and Chicago Dental Society. He is certified in Invisalign and has taken several advanced courses in the area of dental implants. Dr. Sifri finds dental implant therapy to be particularly rewarding because it allows patients who are missing teeth a second opportunity to smile and eat without the embarrassment of loose or uncomfortable dentures.
Community involvement is one of the core values of Dr. Sifri and Smart Dental. Since 2007 he has served on the all-volunteer Board of Directors of AIDS Network of South-Central Wisconsin and was more recently elected to serve as Treasurer of AIDS Network in 2008.  Dr. Sifri is also active in the Madison Area Growth Network (MAGNET) He ensures that his office is active in numerous local organizations and charities including the Goodman Atwood Community Center, the Bartell Theater and Mercury Theater, Special Olympics, GSA for Safe Schools and the University of Wisconsin Dance Marathon for the Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Sifri lives on the near east side of Madison in the Atwood/Olbrich neighborhood with his wonderful canine companion, Elphaba. He loves Concerts on the Square in the summertime and enjoys making the most of our wonderful city of lakes.
