Dr. Zam Tara Nakhjiri, DDS

I've found a great dentist who takes the time to discuss my treatment and makes sure all my questions and concerns are answered. Dr. Tara Nakjiri is kind and caring, and explains everything in a way I can understand. Her staff is also wonderful. They make me feel very comfortable. I can recommend Dr. Nakjiri with complete confidence. In all the years I've been going to Dr. Nakjiri, no matter how small or complicated the procedure, she has never been satisfied until the job was done to perfection. When I walked into Dr. Nakjiri's office for the first time, I felt like I was sitting in front of a good friend. She was honest, compassionate and took the time to understand me and what I was looking for. She gave me an honest assessment of both the medical and cosmetic work that needed to be done and worked out a plan for me that I could handle. When the work was over, and I looked in the mirror, tears were in my eyes. …Dr. Nakjiri had made a long time dream come true for me...a beautiful healthy and natural looking smile. Dr. Nakjiri took me on as a patient when my dentist changed his practice from LA to Bakersfield. I thought I had had excellent dental work and was surprised that she wanted to redo many of my teeth. The gums had receded and roots were exposed and the crowns were old and looked like it. She took great care to explain to me the whys and wherefores so I could understand fully what was needed and how she recommended that we proceed. I was nervous at first to have so much work done but she worked with me and did it on my timing.
So we started slowly, doing 2 or 3 or 4 teeth at a time starting with the teeth that looked to be the most in trouble. Very old crowns were removed and new ones put on. And each time she did a section of my mouth, she found decay under the crowns of at least one and sometimes 2 teeth. Because I had the work done, I saved myself from having to have several root canals down the line because if the decay had been left untouched, at some point it would have reached the root.
With each section fixed, my smile started to change. I now look years younger and no one can tell that all but the front 6 teeth on the top and the bottom are crowns. Even though the main focus is to take care of the teeth in trouble, Dr. Nakjiri doesn't lose sight of the look of the mouth. She does her magic with the focus on both. Now I have a healthy mouth, and rarely a week goes by without some compliment on my smile. It looks completely natural and even the whiteness she perfected to look natural instead of the glaring white sometimes seen on TV. Bottom line, Dr. Nakjiri is a craftsman who is never satisfied unless the work is perfect! And she is unbelievably nice as well! You will enjoy all your time in the dentist chair!
