I was shopping around for a trusted dental office that I could make my home office. I found this office and was pleased at first, the staff was generally friendly though their equipment and processes were very outdated in comparison to other dental offices I’ve visited. My main issue with this office is that after going for my routine check up, they informed me I’d need a deep cleaning but guaranteed it’d be covered by my insurance. THIS IS IMPORTANT. A few months later, I come back for a checkup and they casually mentioned that my deep cleaning was rejected initially by my insurance but they were resubmitting and again not to worry because it would be covered. Finally, they contact me and threaten to sell my information to a collection agency if I do not pay. I was very disappointed and felt taken advantage of, to be tricked into getting the service done after being told it would be covered. I most likely would have proceeded with the service anyway, but it is the principal… of this situation that hurts. In future, I will seek to find an office that operates with integrity and transparency up front. I am disappointed because the people at this office were pleasant and it was an otherwise positive experience.
